After waiting a good deal of time for the usual count of no one to show up, a sigh passed his lips. Was he really the only one in this town to care about being physically fit and able to handle things? With another more exaggerated sigh, Jacky closed his eyes and, in turn, closed up shop until another Trainer showed up, ready for work. For some reason, nobody seemed to like to show when he was there. Maybe one or two people, sometimes, but never more than that.
Hissing a bit at the state of brightness being outside of his building caused, the green-haired male shielded his eyes with his hand as he headed back for the dark side of the city. He really wasn't in the mood for brightness at the moment; his spirits had shrunken and he just felt like nothing in particular would go too wonderfully. A rather confident expression crossed his face as he moved a bit sadly through the gate, before wandering nearly aimlessly to the left. He could hear the usual sounds of the darkness; scurrying of hidden creatures, the sounds of 'smack talk', the occasional animal shriek as it was either killed or killing for food.
Sensitive ears picked up these noises and more; he could hear the steady, soft thud, thud, thud of feet not too far off, and up until a moment ago, he swore he heard something familiar close-by; the sound of wings and the possible rattling of a chain.
This, of course, sent a shiver down Jacky's spine. The young man was used to noises like that...a demon he knew, not too personally but enough to say that he could probably pick him out if he saw him in the light, and only one or two that he could think of, could make that noise. He shuddered and glanced around, eyes still getting used to the darkness as he tried to pinpoint the place of the frightening man. He finally assessed that he must be on that rooftop, over there. It was close enough without being too close.
As he thought this, though, he found himself suddenly with a new scent in his nose. It twitched a few times before he nodded and confirmed his suspicions. There was a human up there, as well. Working with them all the time gave him a way to pinpoint exactly what they smelled like, even if he usually tried to ignore it.
"Hey! Whatchu two doin' up there?" He called calmly, head tilting to the side and ears perking up a bit. He really did want to know what was going on, but he was a little afraid to get up there and find out on his own.

Alejandro watched the other with more curiosity than before as the light now allowed his first sense -sight- to create a more vivid picture of the pirate that stood before him. Good build, good clothes, some sort of ... cloth covering his eye, and he figured that might as well be an eyepatch. Aha, how adorably cliché. And of course, that mechanic arm also caught his eye again, and he reminded himself to look at that arm more closely to see if he could spot something that would make a 'whirr' sound. He saw nothing. And thus he glanced up to the man once more, intrigued by his questions and the fact that he was blocking the passage. Now, why would he do that?
"Mi nombre?" his smile turned more into a smirk as he glanced over his shoulder momentarily, to make sure there wasn't anyone around. He was not paranoid, just meticulous. You had to be, when you were a pirate of good status. "Alejandro Terreros." he let a silence go by and soon he took another step forward as he adjusted his main red sash. "If you cannot say it, just say 'Alex'. I go by that too." he chuckled as he felt his arm lightly brush by his Flintlock Pistol and he patted it, making sure it was safe in its little holder. He wouldn't know what he would do if that thing got harmed, after all. Maybe his father's ghost would personally come into his nightmares and smack the living daylights out of him. Hmm. Well, he wasn't about to find out.
"The reason for me following you is simple; you caught my attention." the other shrugged and he took another calm step forward. He'd made it a tiny goal to get a little bit closer every once in a while and see just how close he could get to the entrance without the other suddenly swinging his mechanical arm and killing him or something. "As..for the...radar, is it?" he put emphasis on the word, and he could blame his accent for that. There were two 'r's, come on. It was his nature to roll them with a suave click every time they appeared.
"I do not see a radar on you..." Alex paused and his arms calmly crossed upon his chest as, yet again, another 'thump' on the ground indicated that he'd taken another step forward. "Maybe you will mind telling me where your radar is, how it works, and while you are at it, what your name is and why you are here?" he clicked his tongue calmly and now just grinned towards the other, waiting.

Being on top of a human had never been on the list of things to achieve in his lifetime. It was probably something he'd put on the 'never do' list if he had thought it possible to happen. The thing smelt like human; like weak blood and pathetic emotions. He hated the smell of human. He couldn't understand how some creatures found them bearable let alone edible.
He immediately started to struggle when the human tried to push him over. It didn't work too well because that dumb human had his stinky hands on the chain, and it was way too close to his body. All his nerves were on the fray, and it was making him seriously want to rip this man's head off. But that was just it, as much as it was making him want to see some blood, it was also holding him still. Or, at least, making it a lot harder to concentrate on any movement at all. His chain was his weakness, but it was also his strength. Unfortunately for him, when he was this close and tangled to whoever had a hand on it, there was nothing he could do to the human.
"Che, foolish human! Do not think, just because you've got a hold on me, that you can damage me. My skin is far thicker than yours and I--"
Suddenly he was cut off by a quiet and soft-sounding voice apparently wanting to know what a human and demon could possibly be doing on a roof together. Probably had heard them. Jaissec had to admit, they had been being rather loud.
But, this wasn't the moment for Jaissec to 'greet' unwelcome guests. He was currently busy getting read to kick the ass of this damn human. Little distractions would hinder that.
"Killing each other, now bug off or you'll be next!" Jaissec yelled distractedly, trying to move his right leg to get a good kneeing in somewhere. Just as the human had him halted by the chain, Jaissec had him held down with his tail. And he was positive his tail had less of a chance of being ripped off than this man's arm.

The sounds of grunting and a rattling chain continued to assault his eardrums, making him wonder if that really was what was going on. There could be countless other things two people, for lack of a better word, could do with another on a roof, after all. While his mind wandered into unknown reaches of the usually tame-minded boy's thoughts, he slowly took a few steps closer to the building.
However, at the thought of being next to be killed...that didn't seem so fun. "Aw, that's no fun!" He sighed, shaking his head. "Why ya killin' each other?" Truth be told, he was scared to death right now, but his curiosity won out.

Ah, here we go. This was more like it. Roscoe kept his hold firmly on the chain as the demon started to struggle beside him, making sure to keep his free hand in easy range of the gun in his pocket. It might not do much from a distance, but the cold steel pressed against the demon's temple would be a potentially fatal move. For now, though, he kept the weapon hidden.
Fighting so close up was, unfortunately, Roscoe's weakness. From a distance he was fine, but so close to his target his depth perception was thrown off, thanks to having one working eye. He was slowly learning to make up for that by aiming a bit to the left, but he wasn't totally used to the change in his sight yet. He was about to warn the demon to not underestimate him, but a voice carried up from the street, questioning what they were doing.
"Come now, we're not killing each other," Roscoe said as he finally got his wind back. "Just trying to remove an unwanted guest from this roof. Carry on." Ah, reverting back to the old guard saying. 'Carry on' meant that he had control of the situation and civilians should not be alarmed. It was habit, really.
The tail around his waist was growing a bit tight, and in this tight space and awkward situation he couldn't really get off a good punch, so he resorted to drawing his leg back and kicking the demon in the shin with the toe of his boot. Shins were painful things to have kicked, considering how close the bone was to the skin. Almost immediately after his foot connected, he tugged down sharply on the chain to bring the demon's head down while he brought his other hand up, using the strong palm of his hand to deliver a upward thrusting punch of sorts to the demon's chin. Hopefully the tugging down would make up for the lack of being able to move and get a nice, powerful thrust. He wanted this thing off his roof now.

However, there was no chance in Hell he wanted to carry on, now. He had gotten two different sides of the story, and now he was really curious to see what was happening. While fear was his first instinct, there was one thing that kept him in the dark half of the city, other than the fact that it hurt his eyes. The simple fact remained that curiosity often won out; when he had no clue what was going on, he was sucked further into the situation most of the time.
"Can I watch?" He called innocently, looking up at the building and assessing how to best get up there and do so. He really wasn't equipped for getting up too high, but he could jump high than any human should be able to.

Axle very nearly burst out laughing--the relation between their two names was just too much. Axle and Alex? That made him think of something along the lines of a sitcom.
However, Axle retained his composure, crossing his arms over his chest and eyeing the other man. He was shorter than him, which was nice--Axle didn't like men who were taller than him, most times. He always felt they were looking down on him. And this Alex--Alejandro, or whatever--looked normal and nice enough, but alas, looks were always deceiving.
"My name is Axle Riggs McLane, for starters," the brunet-pirate began, trying to figure out exactly how the conversation should go. He wasn't about to risk giving too much away, for fear that he might make an enemy of this man, but if he didn't give away enough, he might lose a valuable future-ally. So he continued on with, "And I am just wandering about. Really no place else to go, I should say, so I decided to come to the Light Dome to see what might be in store for me."
It was as much of the truth as Axle needed to tell. He bit his lip, still not willing to let Alejandro pass, and then said, "And my radar is in a safe place--a hidden place. It's infrared and picks up on heat signals."
Of course he wasn't going to tell Alejandro where it was. That would just be foolish.
But if this man proved he was a trustworthy ally... Well, maybe he'd reconsider his guardedness.

"You're right, I'm killing yo--OW, shit you li--OOF!"
Shin-kick followed by a sharp thrust to the chin. He had to admit, that did NOT feel good. Fucking human. He obviously knew how to fight, if he could make moves like that. Jaissec was a bit more sporadic in his methods. And this human was pissing him off enough to make him fight dirty.
His movements may be slowed, but he was no human. He pulled a wing out straight, using the one on top, not limited by the rooftop, to beat against the human as though he were flying. It wouldn't do much damage, perhaps a bruise here or there, but it sure as hell didn't feel good. It would be like the equivalent of a dog's tail hitting you against the leg again and again, only all over your body and with a little more force. Then, pulling his head to the side to free it of the hand pushing it upwards, he shot his head out and bit. Hard. He couldn't tell what exactly he bit, since his hair was now oh-so conveniently in his way, but he knew he bit something. Biting a bit harder, he could feel his fangs piercing skin and taste blood running into his mouth. Part of him wanted to gag at the taste of human, and the other part went haywire in tripped-on blood lust.
Now it was even harder to concentrate, but he did try to move his legs a little to avoid anymore kicks to the shins. He may be a demon, but even that still hurt.
He could hear the others question, but at this moment he was far too gone to comprehend its meaning let alone answer. His nerves were already shot and frazzling from so much contact to his sealed chain, and the taste of blood was only making it worse. He hadn't tasted blood in years. He was no vampire, however it was turning out to work like a drug on his brain though, much like how he had heard was rumored for them.

Yeah, the Light Dome was probably a good idea. Sure, there were a few people up and about, slinking around in the dark, like always, but none of them smelled or felt familiar. The last thing Koketsu wanted was to go looking for someone to play with and find some big ugly blob of...well, ugliness. Someone that ate little kitties for breakfast! Oh, how scary!
Ha! Yeah, right! But seriously, she would rather avoid having to get her claws dirty. Didn't just feel in the mood that night--day--hour, ya know?
So, with that decided, she skipped a step and sped up her walk to the Light Dome. It was a good thing that she was a common appearance at the gates. Those guards were harder to get by than a crowd on the Lights Day festival that silly dome held every year. And that was saying something. Have you ever been to one? She had gone to it once. It took her thirty minutes to get from one stand to another other, which happened to only be 5 feet away.
Lucky for her though, she had a cleared record as one of the Dark City residents that were allowed to travel between the cities. Good records were sometimes good things. She could buy all the pocky she wanted this way.
Grinning to herself, the cat demon made her way to a specific entry point that had a guard she knew to be a bit of a softy. He recognized her, so she wouldn't have to wait forever until the guard pulled up her info and passed her through.

Roscoe was glad he had managed to make solid contact. If only he had been saying something that had an 'l' in it, he might have been able to draw blood. Teeth plus tongue plus high speeds and solid surfaces equals not fun. Oh well, he had gotten a few good knocks in, at least.
And then suddenly....whoa. It got pretty breezy up here. It took him a moment to figure out what was hitting him, but when he pieced the wind and the repeated smacks against his shoulders and side, he realized it was the demon's wing. The pain was minimal and it was more annoying than anything, but what really caught his attention was the sudden movement the demon made that ended up hurting more than that wing.
Roscoe hissed in pain as sharp teeth grabbed the arm that was holding the chain, but that was all the demon was going to get as far as noise, even when those fangs broke through his skin. Roscoe wasn't unfamiliar to pain, and it would take a bit more than that to make him cry out. He let the demon keep his hold on his arm, since that meant the teeth wouldn't be elsewhere trying to bite, say, his face, as he wound up with his free hand and delivered a lovely jab to the demon's throat. He made sure to keep his fingers straight and pointed rather than curled, and he aimed for the sensitive and currently unprotected column of flesh that is most vulnerable on any creature you happen to meet. The pain in his arm was giving him that burst of adrenaline he needed to tap into his fight or flight response, and as always, he was staying to fight.
"Dunno if you wanna do that!" he called out to the voice below. Normally he'd yell at whoever it was to leave, but considering this was the Dark City, the question wasn't too out of place. "Might get caught up in it yourself!"

Jaissec could feel himself losing it. The sharp point of fingers on the un-collared part of his neck was not ignorable, but to him and his hazed state of mind, livable. He did try to stop it though. He felt the pain, hated it, and thrashed out, but he didn't let go. In fact, he bit down harder, and jerked his head to the side to rip at the flesh and also possibly get the fingers to slide away.
His mental control was turning mostly to instinct. Move your head. Bite harder, get your claws into that hand on your neck. Push it away. Thrash. Jerk your legs. Bite harder.
The commands in his head came in short, choppy thoughts which he followed without hesitation. There was pain, but his nerves were so on end that it was dulled anyway, and the taste of blood had made him half crazed.
At this point, the only way to regain himself would be some space or a good whop to the head that would knock his lights out...so to speak. At their proximity it would be a little hard to knock him out though. It took a lot to black out a demon, and anything this close wouldn't get enough force behind it to do anything but hurt.

Roscoe grunted softly as the demon began to jerk his head back and forth, despite the jab to his sensitive throat. He could tell a huge chunk of flesh was going to be missing if he didn't do something, and soon. It began to get harder to hold onto that chain, though, what with the tugging and the new addition of flying claws.
Roscoe knew he needed to get himself a bit further away from the beast, even though that tail was still wrapped tightly around him. He waited just a tad longer for the demon to give him and opening and...there! With a swift movement he brought his leg up between the demon's, his knee making solid contact with his groin. There were basic rules of combat in the guard, and this tactic was considered unorthodox, but to Roscoe it was a golden way to get away from someone, as long as they were male.
He hoped the pain would made the demon loosen up his hold on his waist and his arm just long enough for him to get away. Fighting this close and this entangled wasn't good.

The only things that could of brought him out of his crazed high were some space, being knocked out, and now, apparently, getting kneed in the balls. Because the moment those were hit? He let go of EVERYTHING just to get his hands over his groin to protect it.
His legs curled up, his wings folded closed, and his tail coiled back to his body. Everything turned, in mere seconds, from offensive to defensive.
A male was a male regardless of race, right?
"Shit!" was the only thing that left Jaissec's mouth, and it was high pitched and strained.
He could still taste the blood in his mouth, feel the tattering nerves, and notice acutely the aches here and there on his body where he was hit, but it all meant nothing to him against his injured goods. That was such a piercing pain that he couldn't think one step beyond it.

Jacky didn't hesitate to remain there and listen, smell, whatever he could to get a vague idea of what was going on. However, a new scent suddenly hit his nose and his eyes widened. Somebody up there was bleeding, and he highly doubted it was the demon.
"You shouldn't let yourself get bitten, yanno." The rabbit mused, still keeping his eyes on the roof, despite being blocked from the view of the fight. Or, rather, having the fight blocked from view. He pursed his lips, looking up before peering inside a door he assumed should have been closed. Once more, he let his leader be his questioning thoughts and he headed inside, ignoring the terror trying to immobilize him. It probably wouldn't be until he was able to view it that he'd be scared stiff and possibly die. He wouldn't put it past his fear of everything to do this to him someday, after all.

Ah, success! Everything withdrew from Roscoe and he quickly rolled away, getting up onto his knees and from there to his feet. He remained close to the demon, but not close enough for him to lash out and hit him should he move sharply. He knew his arm was bleeding pretty badly, but for now he ignored it.
"If you had just moved to another roof you could have avoided this, you know," Roscoe said, panting slightly from the recent struggle. He let his gaze flick down to his arm and - yup, just as he thought - to see it was covered in blood from about mid-forearm down. Super. Must've hit some pretty large vein to get it going like that. "Got me pretty good, there."
He turned his gaze back up to the demon but suddenly went still. Someone was in the house! What? He was, thankfully, close to the little trap door panel that led down into the house and, while keeping an eye on the motionless demon, pulled it out of it's place to speak down into the house. "Whose in there?" It never crossed his mind it might be the person who had been down on the road talking to them.
